Communications and Code of Conduct

Role Channels

To avoid redundancy, Sixth sensE uses role channels as opposed to class channels for communication during raids. Before the first pull of a guild raid, all participants must join their appropriate role channel. When the channels are not in use for guild activities, guild members may use their respective role channels for socializing with other guild members of that role.

Channels are as follows:

* ssTanks
* ssHeals
* ssRanged
* ssMelee

Consult with the raid leaders for respective in-game channels to join if different from above.

There is currently no PvP channel, however certain roles may choose to use the raid role channels for communication during PvP activity.

Guild chat

Derogatory or potentially offensive language considered excessive by the guild leadership or upsetting to certain members will be reprimanded. While guild chat is not strictly policed, members of any ethnic background, gender, social status and sexual orientation should feel welcomed and respected.

Guild members with a low tolerance for swearing and similar language are encouraged to turn on the filter.

Raid Chat

Players are expected to behave in a professional manner in order to minimize distractions and facilitate efficient communication.

Feedback and Thick Skin

Sixth sensE thrives heavily on feedback and criticism. All members are expected to offer and receive feedback on a regular basis by participating in raid or PvP debriefings on the forums, by communicating frequently with the guild leadership, by accepting advice from more experienced players and by offering constructive criticism to less experienced players.

An appropriate tone for criticism is straightforward, yet tactful.

Performance criticism should not be taken personally. During guild activities, time for feedback is limited and participants sometimes neglect tact for the sake of efficiency. Furthermore, the large diversity in our player base implies that members have different levels of communication skills.

Players who received negative feedback are still encouraged to unwind with fellow members on vent after guild activities and to participate in social or offnight events.

Officer Chat

Sixth sensE allows all members the ability to type into officer chat. However, officer chat is only viewable by officers. This method offers quick communication to any of the leadership if they are online. This is primarily used during raids to allow raiders to voice concerns, ideas or suggestions during encounters. Additionally, it can be used to immediately attract the attention and assistance of officers for any reason.

Abuse of this service will result in a potential dismissal from the guild.

Patch 4.3 Raid Finder

Hey all, welcome to 4.3. The new raid finder will assist us in learning all the fights and gathering our collective skills as a cohesive team.

Here are the main points that are needed to understand from MMO-Champion

Raid Finder - Patch 4.3 Preview
Raid Finder is a new feature being added into Patch 4.3 that works similar to the current dungeon finder but for 25man raids. Similar to the dungeon finder feature, you queue as your respective role, a group is found and off you go to slay dragons (and other bad guys). However Raid Finder will have a few small additions that are not present in the Dungeon Finder.

Just like the Dungeon Finder, a raid leader will be selected. They will be unable to affect the loot distribution or spontaneously kick people from the raid. They will however be able to mark targets, use the /raidwarning command and promote other players to assist in leading. The leader will also be responsible for making judgemental decisions on fights (example: who has to interrupt X target.)
Raid Finder will not have a lockout, however players will only be able to recieve loot from the first time they kill each boss each week.
A new need before greed system has been implemented purposely for Raid Finder that gives players a bonus 100 to their role when needing on loot designed for their role within the raid (example: mage needs on tanking item and rolls 94, tank rolls 75 but recieves a 100 bonus due to the item being designed for their role, making their roll 175.)
Raid Finder is currently implemented for Dragon Soul only and is split into two separate raids, the first four boss' of Dragon Soul and the final four boss' of Dragon Soul.
Just like Dungeon Finder the Raid Finder will have an item level requirement, in this case it's 372.
All loot, including tier pieces will be of a lower item level than the normal and heroic version of Dragon Soul in relation to the difficulty.
Just like the Dungeon Finder the Raid Finder will be a cross realm feature.
The raid composition will always consist of two tanks, six healers and seventeen DPS. The system will automatically attempt to balance the group between melee and ranged DPS.
Raid Finder will not lock you to the normal or heroic version of Dragon Soul.
Just like the Dungeon Finder the Raid Finder will have a vote to kick system, as well as a Dungeon Deserter debuff.
Boss' will not reward Valor Points however killing the last boss in each of the respective raids Dragon Soul is split into will reward 250 Valor Points, totalling a potential 500 Valor Points from clearing the whole raid.

Patch 4.3: Raid Finder Loot Rules
Originally Posted by Blizzard (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)
As previously announced the Raid Finder will use an altered version of Need Before Greed that provides loot roll bonuses to those that have entered the raid in the role (tank, DPS, healing) that uses those items. Unfortunately the system is currently unable to detect spec, and so this creates some issues for classes that utilize stats that are not "common" to that role.

To help clarify which items you will or will not be able to roll on based on the role you entered the raid in, we have some basic guidelines that we've followed that should help you anticipate which items you'll receive the roll bonus on.

If you're in a raid as one of the below roles here is what you'll receive a roll bonus on:

Tank:

Agility Leather (for druids)
Strength plate with tank stats on it
Trinkets with tank stats
Trinkets with Agility (for druids)

Healer:

Any appropriate caster gear without Hit
Trinkets that trigger on heals or beneficial spells

DPS:

Mostly everything that doesn’t have a tank stat on it
Spirit gear (for elemental shaman, shadow priest, and moonkin)
Trinkets that trigger on damaging spells/melee hits

In some cases we've been overly restrictive when flagging accessories (Petrified Fungal Heart and Signet of Grasping Mouths in particular), and we're planning to modify a couple of those items to be less restrictive before or shortly after the patch goes live.

With Mists of Pandaria our expectation is that we will have the ability to detect spec, and so all of these issues go away for future raids. For Dragon Soul there will be some overlap, though, and it's important you're aware of the loot rules as due to the automated distribution system our support department will not be able to assist with any loot disputes while using Raid Finder.

New Recruits and Raiders

********************Welcome All New Recruits & Raiders********************

Sixth sensE welcomes anyone willing to participate in guild events, rep runs, random BG's and Heroics.

IF YOU ARE HERE TO RAID, YOU NEED TO
1. REGISTER ON THESE FORUMS
2. Go here to Apply
3. PARTICIPATE IN DISCUSSIONS TO BETTER YOUR GAME and KEEP YOUR RAIDER STATUS.

If you were recruited for the sole purpose of raiding you will:
1. Show up and be prepared, first no show, you will get a warning, second time is raid suspension (or loot suspension your choice), third time you will be removed from the guild because you are wasting our time.
2. Keep up to date with strats from our site, this way we are all on the same page when it comes to encounters
3. If you have a valid reason for not being able to attend, you must send a PM / In Game email(if the reason is private) or post your reason in the Sign Out section in the forums. This way we can fill your spot and not wait around.
4. If you are late...OK it is a game, but if it is a habit and you show up late all the time, you need to have an awesome explanation or just find another guild.
5. RESPECT EVERYONE IN THE GUILD. We are here to play but also socialize, if you have a beef with someone, take it to tells. Public bashing or Hazing is not tolerated and results in immediate removal.
6. Last but most important, DON'T WASTE OUR TIME, have fun but get all of your personal stuff done before raiding.

Sign up on the calendar, this is a first come first serve system. You are there 15 minutes prior to raid time, you have your spot...
If too many of your class show up around the same time, it is the Raid Leader's decision as to who he/she wants in their raid.
If there are eough for another group, make your own raid group and progress with the guild, not some pug.
We host raids, we don't join pugs

Those not registered or active will have their spots filled.
If you are not fully prepared with a PVE spec and all glyphs, your spot will be filled
Do your dailies and get that guild rep :trollsmile:
